Welcome to the PSU Pharmacy Students DB, operated by the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda (PSU). The System is designed to facilitate the registration and academic progress tracking of pharmacy students in Uganda.
By accessing or using the System, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the System.
Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself, including personal details (name, date of birth, sex, etc.), university details, and academic records, as prompted by the System's registration forms.
Maintenance of Information: You are responsible for ensuring your data is accurate and up-to-date. You can update your details through your user account.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Prohibited Use: You agree not to use the System for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose, including introducing malicious software (viruses, worms, etc.) or conducting automated data collection without express written consent.
All content, design, software, and underlying code of the System are the intellectual property of the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the System without prior written permission.
The PSU and System developers will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:
We do not warrant that the system will be available at all times or that the information is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
We collect personal data directly from you for a specific, lawful, and explicitly defined purpose related to your registration as a pharmacy student and tracking your progress as required by the PSU's mandate under the Pharmacy and Drugs Act.
Categories of data collected: Identification information (name, date of birth, sex, National ID/Passport number, photo, etc.), contact information (address, email, phone number), academic records (certificates, transcripts, university details), and potentially health status if required by law for specific programs (e.g., pre-internship clearance).
Mandatory vs. Discretionary Data: The provision of the required data is mandatory for student registration with the PSU. Failure to provide this information will result in the inability to register or continue registration in the System.
Consequences of Non-Provision: If mandatory data is not provided, your registration cannot be processed, which may affect your ability to practice pharmacy in Uganda.
By using this system and providing your data, you explicitly consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described in this policy and the accompanying Terms. The processing is also necessary for compliance with legal obligations to which the PSU is subject.
We will retain your personal data for a period necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as authorized or required by Ugandan law or relevant contracts (e.g., for the duration of your studies and subsequent professional registration period). We will securely destroy or delete records when they are no longer needed.
